Our Story
Although this business is certainly about dogs, in particular Chihuahuas, at its very core, its heart, is just one best friend. Ama came in to my life when I really needed her and she’s been by my side ever since.
We’ve shared wonderful experiences together. Our first home as a real ‘family’, getting to compete in Crufts, moving to a new country; she was even my flower puppy at my wedding. But she’s also been there, pressed up against me, for all the lows, letting me cry in to her fur and providing unspoken understanding and support. Because that’s what really true best friends are for.
I’ve always had a special place in my heart for dogs but Ama showed me how special that bond really can be. I think it’s something everyone should get to share in and that’s why I am opening Edinburgh Chihuahua Cafe. It’s a joint venture with my best friend, allowing me to spend more time with her and giving the world an opportunity to share in the truest friendship you will ever have.

What We Do
For those of you who may not have visited an Animal Cafe before allow us to explain the concept.
You book a time to visit us and, once inside, our resident Chihuahuas will be roaming freely amongst guests for you to pet, cuddle, play with, take photos or simply observe and enjoy.
The concept of Animal Cafes originated in Southeast Asia and has been a growing market for some years. The UK and all its animal lovers are starting to get the bug and in the last few years Cat Cafes have been popping up in cities all over the UK.
We aim to bring man’s best friend to the masses in the same way. We feel everyone should get to experience the special love of these furry beauties and have the chance to form their own special bond with one of the most loving, loyal creatures on the planet. Petting a dog can reduce stress, bring joy and fun in to your day and just generally make you feel loved and valued and all the better for it!

They are not outdoor dogs and really love nothing better than a warm snooze on a friendly lap. We think this makes them the ideal pooch of choice to host their own cafe. With so much spirit and character for such a little dog you will find no two dogs here are the same and we hope you enjoy getting to know them all on an individual basis.
